Resum

El grup de Recerca en Olfacte, Immunologia i Al·lèrgia (InOIA), liderat per la Dra. Adriana Izquierdo-Domínguez, centra la seva activitat en l’estudi de les alteracions de l’olfacte i gust associat a diferents patologies molt prevalents, com la COVID-19 i altres infeccions virals, la rinitis al·lèrgica, la rinosinusitis crònica amb poliposis nasal, o malalties neurodegeneratives, entre altres, especialitzant-se en la comprensió i millora de la funció olfactòria. A més, el grup també s’ha enfocat en estudi d’al·lèrgies alimentàries en població pediàtrica i adults, així com en la immunoteràpia específica i l’estudi detallat de les al·lèrgies a fàrmacs. El grup InOIA és “grup investigador emergent” i malgrat la seva recent creació té una àmplia trajectòria científica conjunta avalada per publicacions en revistes internacionals de prestigi, aconseguint qualitat i poder de divulgació científica. La Dra. Adriana Izquierdo-Domínguez pertany també al reconegut grup de recerca Inmunoalergia respiratòria clínica i experimental (IRCE).
